A Brief Introduction to Algebraic K-theory
نویسندگان
چکیده
We give a brief survey of higher algebraic K-theory and its connection to motivic cohomology. We start with limits and colimits, and then pass to the combinatorial construction of topological spaces by means of “systems of simplices”, usefully mediated by simplicial sets. Definitions of K-theory are offered, and the main theorems are stated. A definition of motivic cohomology is offered and its major properties are listed. Many references to the literature are provided, especially for the development of motivic cohomology.

Recent Developments in Discrete Event Systems
This article is a brief exposure of the process approach to a newly emerging area called "discrete event systems" in control theory and summarizes some of the recent developments in this area. Discrete event systems is an area of research that is developing within the interstices of computer, control and communication sciences. The basic direction of research addresses issues in the analysis an...
متن کاملSOME HYPER K-ALGEBRAIC STRUCTURES INDUCED BY MAX-MIN GENERAL FUZZY AUTOMATA
We present some connections between the max-min general fuzzy automaton theory and the hyper structure theory. First, we introduce a hyper BCK-algebra induced by a max-min general fuzzy automaton. Then, we study the properties of this hyper BCK-algebra. Particularly, some theorems and results for hyper BCK-algebra are proved. For example, it is shown that this structure consists of different ty...
متن کاملA Brief Introduction to Algebraic Set Theory
This brief article is intended to introduce the reader to the field of algebraic set theory, in which models of set theory of a new and fascinating kind are determined algebraically. The method is quite robust, applying to various classical, intuitionistic, and constructive set theories. Under this scheme some familiar set theoretic properties are related to algebraic ones, while others result ...
متن کاملRings of Singularities
This paper is a slightly revised version of an introduction into singularity theory corresponding to a series of lectures given at the ``Advanced School and Conference on homological and geometrical methods in representation theory'' at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Miramare - Trieste, Italy, 11-29 January 2010. We show how to associate to a triple of posit...
متن کاملDistributed Cooperative Control System Algorithms – Simulations and Enhancements
In this paper, we describe and simulate a number of algorithms created to address problems in distributed control systems. Based on tools from matrix theory, algebraic graph theory and control theory, a brief introduction is provided on consensus, rendezvous, and flocking protocols, and Dubins vehicle model. Recent results are then shown by simulating and enhancing various multi-agent dynamic s...
